Moonwound is a purely invented term, dreamt up by the
author. The word literally means “lunar wound”, which represents a kind of pain that is almost impossible to heal, it is also “cyclic” as the moon, since we can always see it in the sky and it doesn’t vanish, at the same way the wounds on our bodies, both inside and outside, they can't disappear.
